Island Pacific (South Vermont) – Closed

The Island Pacific Supermarket store on South Vermont was burned to the ground by a fire on January 10, 2018.

The nearby larger branch a few blocks north on Vermont Avenue is still open.

IP is a chain of grocery stores selling Filipino food and other Philippine-related items.

There were two Island Pacific branches on this stretch of Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles proper. This location is the one south of the freeway just a few steps north of Third Street.

Products are more regularly available at their East Hollywood branch on North Vermont Avenue.
